Riordan’s 30-footer forces OT, but Simpson drops season opener

The former Ankeny star hit a 30-foot jumper at the end of regulation to force overtime in Simpson's season opener against Bethany Lutheran on Saturday at Indianola. Riordan takes over leadership role, helps Storm to 13-12 season
Conor Riordan knew that he needed to step up this season for the Simpson College men's basketball team. The former Ankeny star did just that. The sophomore point guard started all 25 games and helped the Storm to a 13-12 record. He averaged 19.4 points per game while shooting 52.1 percent from the field.
