Ankeny Centennial football standout Braylin Dieken-Keahey has made his college decision.
The junior offensive lineman announced on Monday that he has verbally committed to South Dakota State.
“SDSU is the place to be,” said Dieken-Keahey. “Great town, great team, and great people. Coach (Dan) Jackson and (offensive line) coach (Mike) Bangtson are the guys (I want to play for).”
Dieken-Keahey helped the Jaguars to an 8-3 record and a trip to the Class 5A quarterfinals last season. He was a part of one of the state’s best offensive lines.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pounder was named to the CIML Conference first team.
“I had six offers,” Dieken-Keahey said. “If I would have waited, I would have more. All of April I was on the road to South Dakota, Northern Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern and Northern Iowa.
“But by the end SDSU was it. They are not yet affected by the pressure of NIL and looking to develop guys,” he added.
