Ankeny Centennial boys’ soccer standout Evan Larson will sign a letter of intent with Grinnell College on Wednesday afternoon.
“After a long recruiting and admissions process, I finally made a decision!” Larson said. “I will be attending and playing at Grinnell College!”
Larson, a senior defender, has helped the fifth-ranked Jaguars to a 13-3 record this season. He has contributed two goals and an assist.
Larson plays a key role for a defensive unit that has posted 10 shutouts. Centennial closed out the regular season on Tuesday with a 3-1 win at No. 13 Dowling Catholic.
Larson was named to the Class 3A all-state second team as a junior, when he helped his squad to a 15-5 mark. The Jaguars won the CIML Iowa Conference title and advanced to the state tournament.
