The Ankeny girls’ tennis team dominated the Boone Invitational on Friday.
The ninth-ranked Hawkettes won the tournament for the second straight year. They racked up 157 points in the five-team field.
Indianola placed second with 126. Des Moines Roosevelt was third with 111, followed by Boone with 96 and Des Moines Lincoln with 50.
Ankeny was led by sophomore Kira Smith, who won the No. 1 singles flight for the second year in a row. She dropped a total of three games in her four matches.
Lauren Osburn and Payton Blume teamed up to win the No. 2 doubles crown. Sophie Rohlfing and Gabby Risk won the No. 3 doubles flight.
Sydney Otto and Sophie Schmitz placed second at No. 1 doubles.
The Hawkettes will travel to Southeast Polk on Tuesday for a CIML Conference dual meet against the Rams.
