The Ankeny boys’ tennis team dropped a 10-1 decision to 10th-ranked Dowling Catholic on Thursday at the Prairie Ridge courts.
Mason Lyons provided the Hawks’ lone victory at the No. 1 singles position. He posted a 6-2, 6-4 win over Brady Frye.
The Maroons won the other 10 matches in straight sets. They improved to 5-1 in the CIML Conference and 6-1 overall.
Ankeny’s records dropped to 1-3 and 1-4.
The Hawks hosted the Dennis Hoefle Invitational on Friday. Check back later for results of the tournament.
