
Four Ankeny Centennial softball players have earned all-state honors from the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association along with two from Ankeny Christian Academy and one from Ankeny.
Junior infielder Jordyn Kennedy and junior outfielder Mady Ott of Centennial were both named to the Class 5A first team. Senior pitcher Aubrey Scieszinski of Centennial was selected to the second team, while junior teammate Kori Lincicum was a third-team pick along with senior Aubrey Lensmeyer of Ankeny.
Senior pitcher Katie Quick of Ankeny Christian was named to the Class 1A first team. Her teammate, sophomore catcher Katelyn Weathers, was selected to the second team.
Kennedy led the Jaguars to a 34-10 record and a third-place finish in the Class 5A state tournament. She nearly won the Class 5A Triple Crown, leading all large-school players with 21 home runs and 61 RBIs while finishing second in batting average with a .547 mark.

Kennedy earned all-state honors for the fourth time. She has been a first-team pick in each of the last three years after earning third-team honors as an eighth grader in 2022.
Ott, meanwhile, was honored for the third time. She was a repeat pick to the first team after earning third-team honors as a freshman in 2023.
Ott batted .417 with 14 homers and 57 RBIs. She placed third in Class 5A in RBIs and tied for sixth in home runs.
Scieszinski posted a 14-4 record with a 2.31 ERA. She racked up 112 strikeouts while also recording a pair of saves.

Both Lincicum and Lensmeyer were dual-threat players. Lensmeyer helped the Hawkettes to a 13-27 record, going 10-13 with a 3.37 ERA while batting .239 with 12 doubles and 21 RBIs.
Lincicum batted .429 with 11 homers and 49 RBIs. She went 9-4 with a 2.72 ERA in the pitcher’s circle.
Quick was one of the state’s best all-around players, regardless of class. She led the Eagles to a 17-3 record in their second season as a varsity program.

Quick, who was a second-team pick as a junior, posted a 13-3 mark with a 1.74 ERA. At the plate, she led Class 1A with 13 homers and a .652 batting average while ranking fifth in RBIs with 50.
Weathers batted .596 with seven homers and 23 RBIs. She ranked fourth in Class 1A in batting average.
