
The Ankeny boys’ bowling team won for the third time in its last four meets on Monday.
Ankeny defeated Des Moines Roosevelt by a score of 2,323 to 2,012 in a non-conference matchup at B-Roll Bowling. The squad is now 3-4 on the season, while Roosevelt suffered its third straight loss and fell to 2-6.
Junior Sebastian Cook led his team to the victory. He bowled a career-high series of 393.
The girls’ meet was cancelled due to low numbers at Roosevelt.
Both Ankeny teams will head to Pella on Tuesday for a non-conference meet against the Dutch at Cardinal Lanes.
