Ankeny defensive back Daniel Frazee is headed to the Bluffs.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound senior has verbally committed to play football next fall at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs.
“I looked at schools like Grand View, Mount Mercy, Morningside and Iowa Central before making my decision,” said Frazee. “It was a very tough decision, but I feel the bond I created with the coaches and the campus really helped me make my decision plus I have some friends that will be my teammates.”
Frazee made 35.5 tackles last season while helping the Hawks to a 7-3 record. He had 19 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for losses and 1.5 sacks.
Frazee had two interceptions and defended a team-high 13 passes. He recovered one fumble and also returned five punts for 54 yards.
Frazee was named to the all-district second team.
