
The Ankeny Centennial boys’ track team won four events and placed second overall at the Norwalk Invitational on Monday.
Dallas Center-Grimes won the team title with 161 points. The Jaguars finished with 150 points, while Waukee took third with 143.5.
One of Centennial’s victories came in the 1,600, where Jackson Lewis tied for first with Lane Osterloh of Norwalk. Both runners crossed the finish line in a time of 4:35.73.
Noah Ross raced to a victory in the 100 for the Jaguars. He was clocked in 10.75 seconds.
Ross also teamed up with Treyce Young, Heisman Dickinson and Kyler Jones to win the 4×200 relay in 1:30.34. They finished nearly 3 seconds ahead of runner-up Carlisle.
Brecken Allen captured the 400 in 50.63. Teammate Ryne Adams was the runner-up in that event in 52.66.
Cohen Moll placed second in the 800 in 1:56.84. Ian Smith finished third in the 3,200 in 10:05.65.
Caleb Larson added a third-place finish in the discus. He recorded a throw of 138 feet 10 inches.
Centennial will compete in the Kenny Dean Relays on Thursday at Marshalltown.
