Sophomore Andrew Poock of the Ankeny boys’ cross country team is the Ankeny Fanatic Sub of the Week sponsored by Blimpie.
Poock helped Ankeny to a fifth-place finish in the Class 4A state meet on Oct. 27 at Fort Dodge. It was the Hawks’ highest finish since 2005.
Poock placed 110th in the 5k race. He posted a time of 18 minutes 9 seconds.
