Junior Clayson Cox has helped the Ankeny Centennial boys’ soccer team to a 6-3 record. He scored a goal and also had an assist on Tuesday as the Jaguars posted a 10-0 victory at Fort Dodge in their CIML Iowa Conference opener.
Cox saw a lot of action on April 3, when Centennial opened its season with a 1-0 win over Cedar Rapids Washington before dropping a 2-0 decision to host Iowa City West.

“Clayson was a warrior that weekend,” said Centennial coach Brian Duax. “We had some guys who were banged up, and he played a lot of valuable minutes for us.”
The Jaguars will host a conference game against Marshalltown (4-6) on Thursday.
