The Ankeny boys’ tennis team ran into a buzzsaw on Friday.
The Hawks dropped an 11-0 decision at Waukee Northwest in a CIML Iowa Conference matchup. The Wolves won all 11 matches in straight sets.
Northwest improved its record to 3-0 and has yet to lose a match this season. The Wolves also posted 11-0 wins over Ames and Southeast Polk.
Ankeny fell to 1-1 in the conference. The Hawks will play a non-conference meet at Dowling Catholic on Tuesday.
