Senior Emmanuel Reichart joined the lineup for the Ankeny Centennial boys’ soccer team for the first time this season.
He made an already potent squad even more dangerous.
Reichart had two goals and two assists to help the sixth-ranked Jaguars to a 10-0 victory over visiting Fort Dodge on Tuesday.
“It was a good performance,” said Centennial coach Brian Duax.
The Jaguars scored five goals in each half while improving to 2-0 in the CIML Iowa Conference and 9-1 overall. They extended their winning streak to eight games.
Centennial goalkeepers Andrew Nelson, Noah Sleeper and Brooks Wee combined on the shutout. The game ended in the 70th minute due to the mercy rule.
Fort Dodge’s records dropped to 0-3 and 0-8. The Dodgers, who have lost all three league games by scores of 10-0, went scoreless in their first six contests before dropping a 2-1 decision to unbeaten Humboldt on Monday.
Andrew Heckenlaible had two goals and three assists in the win. He now leads the team with 33 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 10 games.
Rashidi Ishibwami added two goals and an assist. He leads the Jaguars with 14 goals.
Jesus Gonzalez also had two goals. Parker Lundberg and Quinn Geiger each added one.
Ty Duax contributed two assists, giving him a team-high 14 on the season. Clayson Cox added one assist.
“I was glad to spread the goals and assists around,” said coach Duax. “We had six different goal scorers and lots of minutes for all.”
The Jaguars will travel to Marshalltown on Friday for another Iowa Conference game against the Bobcats (1-7).
