Ankeny linebacker Tristan Hill has committed to play football at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.
Hill helped the Hawks to a 6-5 record and a trip to the Class 5A quarterfinals last season.
“I looked at quite a few schools all the way from JUCO and NAIA up to D2 so I got to experience the different levels a little bit throughout my visits,” said Hill. “For me, it wasn’t too tough of a decision. Right after my visit, I knew that was the school I wanted to continue my athletic and academic journey at!”
Hill made 49 tackles as a senior, including 15 solo stops. He had seven tackles for losses and three sacks.
The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Hill will be joining a program that went 6-6 in 2024. Former teammate Nolan Dalton is a freshman defensive back for the Tritons.
“The big deciding factor for me when it came to choosing them was the coaches,” Hill said. “Just from my one visit, I created a great and close bond with pretty much all of the coaches. They all showed they cared and stressed heavily to me that this program will get me to the level I ultimately want to be at.”
