Former Ankeny Centennial basketball standout Cleao Murray recently surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone at the collegiate level.
Murray, a junior guard, has helped Grand View to a 23-7 record in her second season with the Vikings. She scored 165 points in her freshman year at Missouri Western before transferring to Grand View.
Murray scored 555 points while averaging 19.1 points a game last season. She currently has 410 points this season, averaging 17.1 points for the Vikings.
Grand View secured an at-large bid as the No. 8 seed in the Liston Quadrant of the 2025 NAIA Women’s Basketball Championship. The Vikings will play No. 9 seed Olivet Nazarene in a first-round game on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Marion, Ind.
