
A limited number of Ankeny girls’ track athletes competed in the Riverhawk Indoor Invitational on Tuesday at Mason City.
Ankeny recorded several top-10 finishes. Leading the way was Mila Badillo, who cleared the bar at 5 feet 1 inch to win the high jump.
Ava Leinen placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 16-10. Teammate Quinn Roush was sixth in the same event with a jump of 15-10.5.
Charlee Cibula placed in a pair of events. She was the runner-up in the 200 in 27.51 seconds and third in the 400 in 1:06.60.
Riley Kayser added a sixth-place finish in the 200. She was clocked in 28.93.
Ella Schulz finished ninth in the 1,500. She posted a time of 5:41.45.
