
Ankeny Centennial softball standout Jordyn Kennedy has been named to the Class 5A West all-district team for the third consecutive year by the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association.
Kennedy was among five players from Ankeny to earn all-district honors. Fellow Centennial junior Mady Ott was a repeat pick to the all-district team, while Ankeny Christian Academy star Katie Quick was a repeat selection to the Class 1A South Central all-district squad.
Kennedy, an infielder, has led the Jaguars to a 32-9 record heading into this week’s state tournament at Fort Dodge. The Minnesota commit is threatening to win the Triple Crown in Class 5A–she is batting .550 with 20 home runs and 57 RBIs
Ott, an outfielder, is batting .405 with 13 homers and 55 RBIs. She is a Drake recruit.
Senior pitcher Aubrey Scieszinski of Centennial was also named to the all-district team. The Maryville University commit has compiled a 13-3 record with a 2.37 ERA.

Quick, a senior pitcher, led the Eagles to a 17-3 record in their second season as a varsity program. She posted a 13-3 mark with a 1.74 ERA.
Quick was also one of the state’s top hitters, batting .652 with 13 homers and 50 RBIs. She currently leads Class 1A in both homers and batting average while ranking fourth in RBIs.
Quick was joined on the all-district squad by teammate Katelyn Weathers. The sophomore catcher batted .596 with seven homers and 23 RBIs.
