
The Ankeny Centennial baseball duo of Kohen Bollwinkel and Will Morris has been named to the CIML Conference first team along with Ankeny standout Kinnick Vos. The all-conference teams were selected by a vote of the league’s coaches.
Morris, a junior infielder, was a unanimous pick. He helped the Jaguars to a 24-14 record.
Morris led the team with a .417 average, 16 doubles and 34 RBIs while also hitting two home runs. He was one of the squad’s top pitchers as well, posting a 6-1 mark with a 3.52 ERA and a team-high 58 strikeouts.
Bollwinkel, a senior outfielder, batted .337 with two triples, two doubles and 13 RBIs. He set a school record for the fewest strikeouts in a season with three.
Vos, a senior shortstop, was named to a utility position. He helped the Hawks to a 14-25 record.

Vos batted .350 with five doubles and 16 RBIs. He led the team with four triples.
Senior pitcher Darin Severs, senior infielder Isaac Bruhl and senior outfielder Reed Anderson of Centennial were all named to the all-conference second team. They were joined on the squad by senior catcher Brady Carter of Ankeny.
Severs posted a 7-1 mark with a 2.64 ERA. He tied the school record for most wins in a season.
Bruhl batted .291 with one triple, five doubles and 13 RBIs. He scored a school-record 89 runs in his career.
Anderson batted .339 with seven doubles and 27 RBIs. He led the team with three triples.

Carter batted .309 with six doubles and a team-high 24 RBIs. Behind the plate, he threw out 13 runners attempting to steal.
Centennial placed two more players on the CIML Conference third team. They are senior outfielder Jackson Reed and junior pitcher Trae Houser.
Reed batted .308 with 11 doubles and 23 RBIs. He led the Jaguars with three homers.
Houser compiled a 3-3 record with a team-best 1.65 ERA. He also batted .261 with five RBIs.
Eight Ankeny players earned all-conference honorable mention, including junior pitcher Will Davies and senior pitcher Travis Gerstel, who were both honored for the second year in a row.
The others were senior pitchers Zach Halverson and Cole Nuzum, senior outfielder Evan Irlmeier, junior outfielder Easton Lowe, senior infielder Sam Sandvig and junior Jackson Romig. Romig was named to a utility position along with Centennial freshman Brekken Miller.
Two other Jaguars, sophomore infielders Will Nesler and Cade Newman, also earned all-conference honorable mention.

All-district teams
Bollwinkel, Morris and Carter have also been named to the Class 4A North Central all-district first team by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Anderson, Severs and Vos were second-team selections.
