Marie Beecham of the Ankeny girls’ tennis team is the Ankeny Fanatic Sub of the Week sponsored by Blimpie.
Beecham, a senior, opened the season as the No. 1 player for the Hawkettes, who bounced back from an 11-0 loss to Ames with a 6-5 victory over Mason City on Tuesday.
“She has grown so much as a tennis player,” said Ankeny coach Katie Owens.
