Grant Miller of the Ankeny boys’ swimming team is the Ankeny Fanatic Sub of the Week sponsored by Blimpie.

Miller, a sophomore, has helped third-ranked Ankeny to a 2-0-1 record. He placed second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 freestyle as the Hawks rolled to a 121-49 victory over Indianola on Tuesday at Trail Point Aquatics Center.

“Grant is super competitive,” said Ankeny coach Justin Crouch. “He doesn’t like to lose, but at the same time is personable and has a lot of personality. He also has a solid work ethic and works hard in the weight room. In the pool, he excels at freestyle and has really improved at backstroke.”
