Junior Colby Bales is a member of the Ankeny wrestling team.
Bales had a pin against Ankeny Centennial during a dual meet last month. On Saturday, he placed third at 220 pounds in the Jack Mendenhall Invitational at Ames.
Bales currently sports a 10-7 record for the Hawks, who will travel to Johnston on Thursday for a CIML Central Conference dual meet before hosting the Bob Sharp Invitational on Saturday.
