Florida softball standout and Ankeny native Kendyl Lindaman had already told Ankeny Fanatic of her plans to return next season, but her tweet on Saturday makes it official.
“Being a part of Gator Nation has given me a lifetime of unforgettable memories and after receiving the news that our season was over, I was not ready for these memories to end,” she tweeted. “I wanted to thank Gator Nation for their unmatched support since I arrived in Gainesville but this is not the end. After reflecting over these tough weeks, I have realized that I am not ready to hang up the Orange and Blue just yet. I want to thank the NCAA for granting me another year of eligibility to wear the Gator uniform and play in front of the best fans in the country. I also want to thank the University of Florida, my coaches, and especially my teammates for having me back for another year! I can’t wait to be back at KSP next season, Go Gators!”
