Senior Abby North is a member of the Ankeny girls’ golf team. She helped the Hawkettes to a 4-1 dual-meet record this season.
North has played in five varsity meets. She shot a 55 in Ankeny’s victory over Fort Dodge at the Fort Dodge Country Club on April 27.
“Abby has been a part of our program for her entire high school career,” said Ankeny coach Seth Hagarty. “Every year she has put in work to get better and improve her game. The best part about Abby is that she is always positive and truly enjoys playing the game. She was a great teammate to sub in when we had a couple different girls out of the varsity lineup for various reasons.”
The Hawkettes will compete in the CIML Iowa Conference meet on Wednesday at Veenker Golf Course in Ames.
