Ethan Skow, an eighth grader at Southview, won the intermediate division at the state trap shooting meet earlier this month. He placed first out of 444 competitors, hitting 194 of 200 targets.
“I was so proud of the team for their efforts,” said Ankeny coach Larry Brandmeyer. “Many shot personal bests. We had six squads shoot handicap, which is the most ever!”
