Ankeny Centennial running back Elijah Porter has verbally committed to play football at Northern Iowa, beginning in 2024.
Porter announced his decision on social media Friday. He becomes the second player from Ankeny to commit to the Panthers this week after Ankeny linebacker Connor Kayser committed on Monday.
As a junior, Porter helped the Jaguars to a 5-5 record. He ran 116 times for 766 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Porter also caught 22 passes for 227 yards and another score. He was named to the all-district second team.
Porter will join his brother, Trey, at the collegiate level. Trey is a redshirt freshman safety at Northern Illinois.
