The Ankeny boys’ tennis team became the latest victim of top-ranked Waukee Northwest on Tuesday at the Prairie Ridge courts.
The Wolves rolled to an 11-0 victory in a CIML Conference meet to remain unbeaten against Iowa opponents. They improved to 5-0 in the league and 8-1 overall, while Ankeny’s records dropped to 0-4 and 0-5.
Northwest’s only loss came to Wayzata (Minn.), 5-4, on Friday.
The Wolves won all 11 matches in straight sets, even though they played without No. 1 player Kaden Taylor. Taylor is the defending Class 2A state singles champion.
The Hawks will face Ankeny Centennial on Thursday in the annual crosstown showdown, looking to defeat their rival for the first time since 2017. The Jaguars are 1-3 in the conference and 1-4 overall.
