It was a banner Senior Night for the Ankeny Centennial girls’ tennis team.
The Jaguars rolled to an 11-0 victory over visiting Southeast Polk in a CIML Conference meet on Wednesday. They won all 11 matches in straight sets to keep the Rams winless.
“It was a great day of tennis with everyone in the lineup getting a win!” said Centennial coach Alli Gustafson. “I was proud of how everyone stepped up and adjusted their play based on their opponent. It was great to celebrate and honor all of our seniors tonight!”
Centennial improved to 4-2 in the league and 6-3 overall. Southeast Polk’s records dropped to 0-7 and 0-8.
The Jaguars will host a conference meet against fourth-ranked Waukee Northwest on Thursday. The Wolves (4-3, 7-3) are coming off a 6-2 loss at No. 1 Dowling Catholic on Tuesday.
