The pipeline from Ankeny to Sioux Falls continues.
Ankeny Centennial offensive lineman Max Dickinson has verbally committed to play football for the University of Sioux Falls, announcing his decision on social media Saturday. He became the third player from Ankeny to commit to the Cougars over the weekend.
Centennial teammate Chase Kluver and fellow defensive back Sam Sandvig of Ankeny both committed on Friday.
“After talking with my family and coaches, I am very excited to announce that I am committing to the University of Sioux Falls!” Dickinson tweeted on X. “I am proud to be a Cougar!”
As a junior, Dickinson helped Centennial to a 7-5 record and a trip to the Class 5A semifinals. The left guard was named to the all-district first team in District 1.
The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Dickinson was part of an offensive line that helped the Jaguars produce 52 offensive touchdowns and 4,991 all purpose yards. Those totals ranked second and third, respectively, in Class 5A.
Dickinson also saw some action on the defensive line. He made 4.5 tackles, including three solo stops.
