Anna Weathers, a freshman at Ankeny Christian Academy, was one of the state's top softball players this season. Playing for Des Moines Christian, Weathers helped the Lions to a 14-17 record. Iowa defensive back Riley Moss has been named to the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award watch list. The Thorpe Award is awarded annually to the best defensive back in college football.
