Revised football schedules announced: Hawks, Jaguars to meet Aug. 28

The revised 2020 football schedules for both Ankeny and Ankeny Centennial have been announced.

The Hawks and Jaguars will still open the season against each other on Aug. 28. Ankeny will be the home team.

Both squads will play a seven-game regular season under the revised plan announced last week by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. All Class 4A teams will advance to the six-round playoffs in 2020.

Here are the schedules for both teams:

Sept. 4–at Waukee

Sept. 11–at Fort Dodge

Sept. 18–at Council Bluffs Jefferson

Sept. 25–at Valley

Oct. 2–vs. Johnston (Homecoming)

Oct. 9–vs. Indianola (Senior Night)

Centennial

Aug. 28–at Ankeny

Sept. 4–at Southeast Polk

Sept. 11–vs. Waukee

Sept. 18–vs. Ottumwa

Sept. 25–vs. Ames

Oct. 2–at Roosevelt (Drake Stadium)

Oct. 9–at Valley
