Blimpie Sub of the Week: Logan Song, Ankeny Centennial wrestling

Sophomore Logan Song is a member of the Ankeny Centennial wrestling team. He has helped the Jaguars to a 10-5 record.

Song filled in at 138 pounds earlier this season when eighth-ranked teammate Jackson Helmkamp was out with an injury. He posted an 11-1 major decision over Ames’ Jordan Corrieri to help the Jaguars to a 57-24 victory on Dec. 22 at Centennial.

“Logan trains hard all year long and wrestles whenever he can in the offseason,” said Centennial coach Jay Groth. “Logan also plays football; he is a very dedicated multi-sport athlete. In the wrestling room Logan works exceptionally hard, pushes his teammates and stays after practice to get better every day.”

The Jaguars will travel to Fort Dodge on Thursday for a CIML Iowa Conference dual meet against the No. 4 Dodgers.
