Girls’ cross country coaches Eric Cogdill of Ankeny Centennial and TJ Jumper of Ankeny have been named Class 4A At-Large Coaches of the Year by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.
Cogdill guided the Jaguars to a fourth-place finish in the Class 4A state meet on Nov. 1, equaling the program’s second-highest finish ever. He also guided the squad to four titles this season, including a fourth consecutive regional crown.
Jumper, meanwhile, guided the Hawkettes to a third straight seventh-place finish in Class 4A. Jumper, who also coaches the girls’ track team, took over the cross country program in late spring after Quinn Groff departed to become the head coach at North Polk.
