There were a lot of familiar names on the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association’s all-state girls’ basketball teams that were announced on Monday.
Some of the players were named to the same squads for the second year in a row, including senior stars Mya Crawford and Jaeden Pratt of Ankeny Centennial and versatile junior Jayla Williams of Ankeny.
Crawford was a repeat selection to the Class 5A first team, which consisted of just eight players. Pratt and Williams were both repeat picks to the Class 5A second team.
Crawford, a guard, averaged 13.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while leading her team with 95 assists, 76 steals and 28 blocks. The Drake recruit helped the Jaguars to a 17-8 record and a fifth consecutive trip to the state tournament.

Pratt, a forward, joined Crawford in reaching the 1,000-point and 600-rebound career milestones this season. The Illinois State commit averaged a team-high 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds.
Pratt earned all-state honors from the IGCA for the third time. She was a third-team choice as a sophomore.
Williams, a guard, averaged a team-high 14.9 points and 8.2 rebounds while also leading Ankeny with 66 steals and 33 blocks. She helped the Hawkettes to a 10-13 mark.

Williams announced earlier this year that she has narrowed her list of schools to Colorado, Columbia, Creighton, Harvard and Kansas State.
Chad Jilek of Johnston, who led the Dragons to a second straight Class 5A championship, was named the Coach of the Year.
