
The Ankeny Centennial boys’ track team competed in a pair of indoor meets on Monday.
The Jaguars tied for ninth place with 17 points in the Wartburg College meet at Waverly. Waverly-Shell Rock captured the team title with 82 points.
Centennial also competed in the Dickinson Relays at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. The Jaguars won the 4×200 relay in a time of 1:31.43 and placed second in the 4×400 relay in 3:35.37.
Max Dickinson provided a third-place finish in the shot put. He posted a throw of 52 feet 7.25 inches.
Teammate Caleb Larson was the runner-up in the shot put at the Wartburg meet. He had a toss of 48-9.
Brecken Allen took fifth in the 800 in 2:09.99. Ian Smith was seventh in the 3,200 in 11:02.72.
The Jaguars placed sixth in the 4×800 relay in 9:05.85.
