Nate Lingren has been named the Activities Director at Ankeny Centennial. He will replace Robert Scott at the end of the school year.
Lingren, a Denison native, has been the Assistant Activities Director at Valley High School for the last six years.
“I’m very excited to be a Jaguar,” Lingren said in an introductory video. “Wearing the sliver and black is something to be proud of. I can’t wait to get working with everybody.”
Lingren graduated from Iowa State before getting a job with the Iowa Cubs. He also worked for Wells Fargo Arena and the Iowa Events Center before moving on to Valley, where he worked under Activities Director Brad Rose.
Lingren is already familiar with many of Centennial’s coaches.
“We’ve got great coaches and staff here, and I can’t wait to help them along the way,” he said.
Lingren and his wife, Leah, are the parents of two young daughters.
“They’re just as excited as I am,” Lingren said.
