The Ankeny Centennial girls’ golf team placed seventh among 12 squads in the Dragon Invitational on Monday at Jester Park. The Jaguars posted a score of 371.
Waukee Northwest shot a 328 to easily win the team title. North Scott was the runner-up with a 351, edging Southeast Polk by two shots.
Payton Drefke carded an 86 to lead Centennial. Brooke Ridout was right behind her with an 87, her best 18-hole score of the season.
Cate Trewet fired a 98 for the Jaguars, while Kate Geiselhart and Sophia Wilson each shot a 100. Kaylee Sprecher added a 102.
The Jaguars will face Ankeny and Southeast Polk in a CIML Conference triangular meet on Tuesday at Copper Creek.
