The Ankeny Centennial boys’ tennis team closed out the regular season on Monday with a 10-1 loss at Ames in a non-conference meet.
The Little Cyclones improved to 8-6 on the season. Centennial’s record dropped to 2-8.
The Jaguars’ lone victory came at No. 2 singles, where Nick Hiney posted a 6-2, 7-6 (4) triumph over Anson Bernard.
Centennial will play in a Class 2A district tournament on Wednesday at Mason City.
