Marisa Smith of the Ankeny Centennial girls’ soccer team is the Ankeny Fanatic Sub of the Week sponsored by Blimpie.
The senior has helped Centennial to a 5-2 record and a No. 3 ranking in Class 3A. The Jaguars battled No. 6 Ankeny to a 2-2 tie through two overtimes on Tuesday before play was suspended due to lightning; the game will resume with penalty kicks on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.
Smith leads her team with four assists. She had two of them in a victory over Des Moines Hoover on April 17.
