Junior Acacia Biehls is a member of the Ankeny girls’ soccer team.
“She will play a big role for us this year,” said Ankeny coach Simon Brown. “She can play a number of positions and will be a great role player for us. She was ever-present in the winter months, open gyms, open workouts, and in the leadership committee.”
The fourth-ranked Hawkettes opened their season on Tuesday with a 4-0 victory over No. 10 Urbandale. They will play No. 6 Bettendorf and No. 11 Pleasant Valley on Saturday at Bettendorf.
