The Ankeny Centennial boys’ track team won the Jaguar Invitational on Tuesday at Ankeny Stadium.
The Jaguars had seven first-place finishes and racked up 151 points. Waukee placed second in the five-team field with 100.5, and Ankeny finished third with 98.5.
Waukee Northwest and Southeast Polk also competed. All of the teams rested some of their top athletes with the Drake Relays beginning on Thursday.
Centennial’s Elijah Porter won the 100 in 11.60 seconds. Owen Gates took the 200 in 23.31.
Tyler Schermerhorn easily captured the 3,200 in 10:02.23. Cooper Majors won the 400 hurdles in 58.37.
Kaleb Kruzich and Cole Grider swept the jumping events. Kruzich won the high jump at 5 feet 6 inches, and Grider took the long jump at 20-1.5.
The Jaguars also won the shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:02.60.
Ankeny’s lone victory came in the 4×100 relay. The Hawks were clocked in 45.01.
