The Tigers are on a roll.
Valley closed out its CIML Conference schedule with a 5-0 victory over visiting Ankeny on Thursday. It was the seventh consecutive shutout for the Tigers, who have not conceded a goal since dropping a 1-0 decision at No. 2 Johnston on April 20.
Valley built a 2-0 halftime lead, then added three more goals in the second half. The game was played in a drizzling rain.
Junior Preston Kipnusu recorded a hat trick in the win. Pablo Mendez added two assists.

Valley has outscored its opponents by a 24-0 margin during its winning streak. The Tigers finished 6-2 in the conference and improved to 14-2 overall.
Ankeny was held scoreless for the third time in four games. The Hawks ended the regular season with records of 2-6 and 4-9.
Ankeny will now prepare for postseason play. The Hawks will play at Johnston in a substate semifinal on May 22.
The Dragons (12-3) posted a 3-1 victory at Ankeny on April 11.
