
In 19 innings this season, the Ankeny Centennial softball team has yet to allow a run.
After sweeping a doubleheader on Monday at Waukee, the sixth-ranked Jaguars opened their home schedule on Tuesday with a 9-0 win over ADM (Adel) in a non-conference game. The Tigers are ranked sixth in Class 4A.
Eighth grader Lauren Sandholm became the third different Centennial pitcher to earn a victory. She tossed a one-hitter and had nine strikeouts.
The Jaguars (3-0) used a five-run second inning to build a 6-0 lead. They pounded out 11 hits on the night.

Mackenzie James went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Lauren Gustofson drove in two runs.
Cora Boyle went 3-for-3, while Addi Starr added a double. They both knocked in a run.
Brylee Person had the lone hit for ADM, which dropped to 1-1.
Centennial will play in the Johnston Invitational on Friday.
