The Ankeny girls’ swimming team earned its third win in the last eight days with a 129-57 victory at Southeast Polk on Tuesday.
The fifth-ranked Hawkettes won all 11 of the swimming events and swept the top three places in the 50, 200 and 500 freestyle. Southeast Polk’s lone triumph came in the diving event, where Holli Hetzer racked up a winning total of 270.05 points.
Ankeny improved its records to 2-3 in the CIML Conference and 6-4 overall.
Gracie Lindaman and Josie Parton each won two individual events for the Hawkettes. Lindaman captured the 200 freestyle (2:04.24) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.38), while Parton took both the 50 and 100 freestyle–posting times of 25.45 and 54.94.
Sophie Loeffler won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:20.23. Leah Schafer took the 100 butterfly in 1:04.44.
Anja Peck raced to a win in the 500 freestyle, turning in a time of 5:24.78. Kyra Zinn won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.25.
Ankeny will travel to Ames on Thursday for a non-conference dual meet against the Little Cyclones.
