The Ankeny boys’ tennis team is hoping to be at full strength this week.
The Hawks placed third among four squads in the Johnston Invitational on Saturday, even though they were still missing their top two singles players.
Ankeny was led by the duo of Grady Schlosser and Treyton Riesberg, who won the No. 2 doubles flight.
“It went pretty well,” said Ankeny coach Ron Miller. “Grady and Treyton won all three of their matches, and they were playing together for the first time.”
The Hawks will travel to Southeast Polk on Tuesday for a CIML Conference meet against the Rams.
“We should see our full team together for the first time all year,” Miller said.
