The ninth-ranked Ankeny girls’ swimming team dropped a 131-55 decision to visiting Cedar Falls in a non-conference dual meet on Thursday at Trail Point Aquatics Center.
The No. 3 Tigers (4-0) have won all four of their dual meets by similar scores. Ankeny dropped to 6-2 on the season.
The Hawkettes got a pair of second-place finishes from Paige Spoelstra. She posted times of 2:05.77 in the 200 freestyle and 56.23 in the 100 freestyle.
Allie Kearney was the runner-up in the 100 backstroke in 1:07.32. Kylee Stone took third in that event in 1:07.44.
Madison Trosper placed third in the 50 freestyle in 26.38. She later finished third in the 500 freestyle in 5:50.91.
Ankeny added second-place finishes in all three relay events.
Cedar Falls’ Taytem Lehmann won both the 50 and 100 freestyle events. Teammate Paige Wilson captured the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.
Emma Mason took the 200 freestyle for the Tigers, Leah Mason won the 100 butterfly, Amber Jacobs took the 500 freestyle, and Ella Gardner captured the backstroke.
Ankeny will host a CIML Conference dual meet against No. 5 Johnston on Tuesday.
