After posting a 6-5 victory over its crosstown rival two days earlier, the Ankeny Centennial boys’ tennis team battled another foe down to the wire on Thursday.
This time, the visiting Jaguars came out on the short end of a nailbiter.
Urbandale posted a 6-5 win in the CIML Conference meet at Walker Johnston Park. The J-Hawks improved to 1-2 in the league and 3-4 overall, while Centennial’s records fell to 1-1 and 3-2.
The match-by-match results have yet to be posted.
The Jaguars will host a conference meet against Dowling Catholic on Tuesday.
