The Ankeny Centennial boys’ soccer team has taken over the No. 1 spot in the latest Class 4A rankings from the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
The Jaguars are off to an 8-0-2 start and sit atop the CIML Conference standings at 3-0-2. No. 2 Cedar Rapids Prairie also remains unbeaten with an 8-0-1 record.
The CIML boasts five teams among the top six in Class 4A, but Centennial is the only remaining unbeaten squad in league play.
The Jaguars will host a non-conference game against Ames on Monday.
