
Former Ankeny Centennial volleyball star Delaney Miller has been named the freshman athlete of the year at Wayne State College.
Miller, an outside hitter, enjoyed a record-setting freshman season last fall. She was earlier selected to the 2025 Division II all-American third team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Miller led Wayne State and ranked third in the NSIC in kills per set at 3.83 and was seventh in points per set (3.95). She was also named AVCA all-Central Region and all-NSIC first team along with AVCA Central Region and NSIC Freshman of the Year after helping the Wildcats to a 27-5 overall record.
Wayne State was ranked fourth in the final regular season AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
