
The Ankeny Centennial duo of Emmarie Becker and Evie Boyle has been named to the Class 3A all-state first team along with fellow senior Ava Paoli of Ankeny.
Three other local players earned all-state honors from the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association. Juniors Mady Postma of Centennial and Isabel Squires of Ankeny were selected to the Class 3A second team, while junior McKenna Gray of Centennial earned all-state honorable mention.
Becker, a midfielder, helped the Jaguars to a 16-3-1 mark and a second straight appearance in the Class 3A semifinals. She recorded seven goals and two assists.
Boyle, a defender, contributed three goals and seven assists. She was the leader of a defensive unit that posted 10 clean sheets.

Paoli, a forward, led the Hawkettes to an 11-6-1 record and a trip to the Class 3A state tournament. She led her team with 14 goals, seven assists and 35 points.
Squires, a midfielder, nearly matched Paoli with 13 goals. She also had three assists.
Postma, a forward, led Centennial with 11 goals. She added one assist.
Gray, a defender, had two assists for the Jaguars.
