
Boys’ soccer stars Brock Brazeau and Tate Duax of Ankeny Centennial were both repeat selections to the CIML Conference first team along with Ankeny standout Cal Wahlberg. The trio was joined on the first team by Keaton Kobow of Ankeny as well as Mace Nithang and Ben Ridlen of Centennial.
Duax, a senior forward, was also one of three unanimous picks to the squad. The others were sophomore forward Eman Alicic of Waukee Northwest and senior forward Cole Skinner of Southeast Polk.
Duax led Centennial to a 17-1-2 record and a second-place finish in Class 4A. The Jaguars won the league crown with a 6-0-2 mark.

Duax led all of Class 4A with 28 goals and 21 assists. He tied for eighth in the entire state in assists.
Brazeau, a senior midfielder, scored six goals and had 12 assists for the Jaguars. Senior defenders Nithang and Ridlen were the leaders of a defensive unit that recorded eight clean sheets.
Wahlberg, a senior midfielder, had a team-high 10 goals and 11 assists while leading the Hawks to a 5-12-1 record. Kobow, a senior midfielder, had 10 goals and six assists.

Ankeny also landed senior goalkeeper Jackson Dockendorff on the CIML Conference second team. He was joined on the squad by senior midfielder Lucas De la Cuba and senior defender Mason Goble of Centennial.
Two other Jaguars were selected to the all-conference third team. They are junior midfielder/defender Brecken Allen and senior forward Garrett Christensen.
Sophomore Will Krueger and junior Maddox Rash of Centennial both earned all-conference honorable mention for the second straight year. Teammate Andrew Krueger, a senior, also received honorable mention.
Eight Ankeny players earned honorable mention, including senior Ty Newhard, who was named to the list for the second year in a row. The others are senior Michael Sage; junior Canden Ganahl; sophomores Joshua Mueller, Ryler Ntem and Heaven Thabow; and freshmen Aiden Heide and Zach Mueller.
